As part of the Days of Science, the second session of the research seminar "Dynamic Systems and Control Theory" was held at our Institute, where candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor of the department of mathematical analysis and methods of teaching mathematics, and head of the laboratory of differential equations and algorithmic optimization, Stash Aidamir Khazretovich, presented a report on the topic "Indicators of oscillation of solutions of linear differential equations and systems".
 
In his presentation, Aidamir Khazretovich highlighted new properties of the oscillation characteristics of solutions, introduced by Professor I.N. Sergeev. The main points of the report included:

• Non-residuality of strong oscillation indices for solutions of differential equations above the second order.
• Discontinuity of extreme oscillation indices in a set of differential systems.

  The absence of a direct relationship between the powers of the spectra of the oscillation indices of a two-dimensional nonlinear system and the system of its first approximation.
 
Sets of values of oscillation indices for individual classes of differential equations and systems were also presented.
