Adyghe State University has established the prestigious V.A. Sadovnichy Prize to honor students who have achieved remarkable success in the field of science. This initiative was approved by the Academic Council of the university in recognition of the significant contributions made by Viktor Sadovnichy, a Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, towards the advancement of science and education, as well as the enhancement of collaboration and international stature of Russian universities.
In 2024, the prize will be presented on December 1, coinciding with Mathematics Day.
The inaugural winner is Daniil Frolov, a 4th-year student enrolled in the Mathematical Support and Administration of Information Systems program (02.03.03) with a specialization in Programming Technologies at the Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies.
Daniil actively contributes to the laboratory of differential equations and algorithmic optimization and is involved with the Center for Digital Education for Children "IT-Cube." He is also a dedicated participant in several academic initiatives, including the Schools on Modern Combinatorics and Game Theory (July 2022-2024), the scientific and tourist intensive program "Thirty with Mathematics" (2023 and 2024), the summer school "Modern Mathematics" in Dubna (2023), and the scientific seminar on "Dynamic Systems and Control Theory."
