Education Приоритет 2030

On July 6, one of the Big Mathematical Workshop sites opened at Adygea State University. Over the course of two weeks, 22 students , under the supervision of experienced mentors, will attempt to solve real-world problems from the project's industrial partners, while gaining new useful knowledge and skills from experts.

This year, workshop participants were presented with four projects: optimization of bank branch operating hours (client: Sovcombank Technologies LLC ), development of an automated system for monitoring and accounting of incoming raw materials arriving by rail at a manufacturing facility (client: EuroChem-BMU LLC ), design of a microhydroelectric power plant for mountain and foothill areas (client: ASU's Renewable Energy Laboratory ), and creation of a modern geographic information system for operational emergency monitoring, automatic situation analysis, and operational repair planning in the Maikop electricity supply system (client: new project partner: Maikop Thermal Power Plant LLC ).

The event consists of two weeks of intensive work, separated by an intermodule. The first week (July 6-10) is dedicated to immersion in the project topics, meeting with clients, and beginning solution design. The second week (July 13–17) focuses on finalizing projects, meeting with curators and experts, and preparing for the final defense. In addition to teamwork, participants will attend lectures and master classes on programming, negotiating with clients, project packaging, and developing leadership skills. The program also includes business games and reflective sessions.

The workshop will conclude on July 17 with a project defense before clients and a summary of the results.

As a reminder, the Big Workshop is being held simultaneously at five locations: Novosibirsk (NSU), St. Petersburg (ITMO), Tomsk (TSU), Maykop (ASU), and Omsk (OFIM SB RAS). At ASU, the project is being implemented as part of ASU's "Priority 2030" development program. The Workshop will allow participants to test their skills in a scientific or applied field in a short period of time, find like-minded individuals and partners with whom to collaborate on projects, develop a foundation that will serve as the basis for a grant application, commissioned research, contract, or startup, find a supervisor, write their first publication, or find a future job.

Students who are recognized by the curators as a result of their work in the Workshop will receive certificates of participation in the Big Mathematical Workshop.
