Event Education

Adyghe State University recently held its traditional celebration in honor of the graduating class of 2026. The event was conducted under the motto "As We Leave, We Remain with ASU." This year marked the 20th anniversary of this longstanding tradition, which was established at the university in 2006.

The celebration highlighted the academic achievements and social engagement of the graduates. Over 950 students completed their full-time studies across specialist, bachelor's, and master's degree programs. It was noted that throughout their academic journey, each student completed at least 150 weeks of classes, attended over 1,500 lectures, and successfully passed more than 120 examinations and assessments. The graduates also participated in numerous events, youth projects, conferences, and festivals.

During their time at the university, ASU strengthened its position within the "Priority 2030" strategic academic leadership program, implemented large-scale initiatives, and ranked among the top 100 universities in the country. The graduates also commemorated the 85th anniversary of Adyghe State University, celebrating this milestone with a series of events.

ASU Rector Daud Mamiy delivered a congratulatory speech to the graduates. He extended his best wishes for a successful defense of their theses and expressed confidence that each graduate leaving the university this year has achieved their ambitious goals while maintaining a strong connection to their alma mater.

In the Volunteer Movement category, the following were awarded certificates of honor:

  • Marina Pilipenko (Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology)

  • Angelina Zhuravleva (Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology)

  • Albina Guchetl (Faculty of Natural Sciences)

Elizaveta Bazarova, from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, was recognized as the top graduate in the "Volunteer Movement" category. She demonstrated exceptional leadership by heading the volunteer corps and curatorial service, while also actively participating in the organization of numerous youth forums across Adygea.

The following were awarded in the Sports category: 

  • Polina Pittel (Faculty of Foreign Languages)

  • Liliya Bliznyukova (Faculty of Social Technologies and Tourism)

  • Ekaterina Pilyaeva (Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology)

  • Elena Protchenko (Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology)

  • Ivan Malyshevsky (Institute of Law)

  • Ekaterina Kozlova (Institute of Living Systems and Health Engineering)

The top graduate in the "Sport" category was Aslan Bzasezhev from the Institute of Physical Education and Judo. He holds the title of Master of Sports and is a bronze medalist at the Russian Weightlifting Championships for both men and women. Additionally, he is a silver medalist at the Russian Weightlifting Cup

Ksenia Chebakova (Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies) was recognized as the top graduate in the "Student Movement" category. Throughout her academic journey, Ksenia has been an active member of the Union of Students and Graduate Students, demonstrating strong leadership and commitment. She also participated in the "Mr. ASU" project team from the beginning of her studies and contributed to the organization and execution of the 2023 Caucasian Mathematical Olympiad as well as the annual Tutoring School.

Artemy Neviry (Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies), a dedicated student union activist since his first year, has been recognized as the top trade union activist. Throughout his tenure, Artemy led the volunteer service and served as the head of the technical and curator services at the international, district, regional, and university levels.

The top graduate in the Science category is Ekaterina Kudinova from the Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies. Ekaterina is a prizewinner at the Lobachevsky Olympiad in Kazan and has participated in the Sirius workshop at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. She is an active participant in scientific conferences and holds a first-category diploma. Additionally, she has attended summer science schools, participated in the "Thirty with Mathematics" hike, and competed in the "Integrate" Olympiad at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute.

The celebratory program continued with performances by the graduates. Ivan Solovyov, Maria Efremova, and Sati Babayan entertained the audience with their musical performances. The UniRise Contemporary Dance Studio and the Nart Adyghe Folk Dance Ensemble showcased captivating dance routines. Following the official ceremony, traditional rituals were conducted in the ASU courtyard, including the release of balloons and a pennant inscribed with "Bon Voyage, Graduate of 2026!" The graduates were also served “bakhsyme”, an ancient Adyghe beverage, along with a cake presented by the rector and the heads of the research and educational clusters. The celebration concluded with a lively disco, marking a memorable culmination to the event.
