Celebrating a Milestone: Honored Cultural Hero of the Republic of Adygea, Kazbek Shaguch, Turns 60 with Pride and Achievements
Kazbek Shaguch, a graduate of the Adyghe State Pedagogical Institute and Krasnodar State University of Culture and Arts, has served as the Artistic Director of the Adyghe State University Folk Dance Ensemble "Nart" since 2002. He not only revitalized the ensemble but also secured its designation as a "Folk Amateur Ensemble" in 2004.
With a diverse background, Mr. Shaguch has worked as a ballet dancer with the Islamey State Song and Dance Ensemble and the Nalmes State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble. He brings extensive teaching experience and academic expertise to his role. Since 2017, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Music and Choreography at the Institute of Arts at Adyghe State University, where he is a leading instructor of national dance.
Under his leadership, the Nart ensemble has earned numerous awards at national and international competitions and festivals, including the Russian Student Spring, as well as festivals in Turkey and Italy. The ensemble also participated in the cultural program of the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi and performed at a gala concert at the State Kremlin Palace.
Kazbek Shaguch has been recognized with a Certificate of Gratitude from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and a medal from the Russian Union of Youth for his contributions to the development of student creativity. Additionally, he has received numerous certificates and commendations at regional and municipal levels for his dedication and excellence in his field.
