A meeting between international students and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Adygea was held at the concert hall of Adyghe State University. The primary objective of the event was to prevent violations and to inform international students about the requirements of Russian Federation migration and educational legislation.

Representatives of the republic's migration service—Police Lieutenant Colonel Valery Loginov and Police Major Yulia Goncharova—attended the event, along with ASU's First Vice-Rector Murat Bedanokov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Susanna Tlekhatuk, cluster directors, faculty deans, and staff from the Visa Office and the International Student Services Office.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Internal Affairs officials outlined their rights and responsibilities, as well as the penalties for non-compliance with Russian legislation. Special emphasis was placed on migration issues. Yulia Goncharova explained the benefits of obtaining a temporary residence permit (RVPO) for educational purposes. This status exempts full-time international students from the annual visa renewal process and medical examinations, as the temporary residence permit is valid for the entire duration of their studies.

For more detailed information regarding the required documents for international students studying in Russia, please refer to the relevant article. In their presentations, Murat Bedanokov and Susanna Tlekhatuk highlighted the importance of regular attendance, adherence to internal regulations, and compliance with Russian migration laws.

The event then transitioned into an open dialogue, during which international students discussed various topics and received comprehensive answers to all their questions. Such meetings play a vital role in facilitating the adaptation of international students, enhancing their understanding of their rights and responsibilities, and fostering a safe and supportive environment for their education at Adyghe State University.
