Adyghe State University Hosted 'Conversation with a Hero' Featuring Major General Nikolai Dolonin

Event

On April 8, a meeting was held at Adyghe State University with Nikolai Dolonin, Major General (ret.), former Deputy Commander of the North Caucasus District of the Russian National Guard, Chairman of the Patriotic Work Commission of the Krasnodar Public Chamber, and Honored Artist of the Republic of Adygea.

Nikolai Aleksandrovich advanced from a cadet to high-ranking command positions within the Ural and North Caucasus Districts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Internal Troops, and later served in the Russian National Guard. His distinguished military career has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Suvorov Medal, the Order "For Military Merit," and 16 departmental honors, among which is the Medal of the Holy Prophet Elijah "For Labor for the Good of the Fatherland."

During the conversation, the major general answered questions about choosing a life path, training personnel, and the challenges of patriotic work with youth.

The guest's personal story added a particularly emotional touch to the meeting. In 1995, his brother, Vladislav Dolonin, was killed on a combat mission and was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation. Nikolai Alexandrovich spoke about his brother, presented the documentary "Heroes of Our Time – Vladislav Dolonin," and performed the song "Confession of a Commander."

The meeting was attended by Maxim Galushkin, Chairman of the Republic of Adygea's Youth Affairs Committee, Irina Adylova , a representative of the "Eternal Memory of Heroes" foundation , and a delegation from the Krasnodar branch of the interregional "Eternal Memory of Heroes" foundation. The foundation presented the book "Heroes of the Kuban Land" and organized a photo exhibition, "Look into the Eyes of the Heroes," featuring portraits of fallen soldiers. The event was attended by the families of the heroes—the wives, mothers, and children of those killed in action during the special military operation.

At the end of the meeting, the students were able to ask their guest questions and thank him for the frank conversation dedicated to the memory of heroes and service to the Fatherland.
