Exploring Complex Global Phenomena Through Mathematical Modeling: Lecture by Dr. Fuad Aleskerov at Caucasus Mathematical Center

Food security, international migration networks, global conflicts, and other complex phenomena can be analyzed through mathematical modeling. Russian mathematician, economist, and decision theory expert Fuad Aleskerov will discuss the methodologies behind this approach and the benefits it offers during an open lecture titled "New Models of Network Analysis," held at the Caucasus Mathematical Center at ASU.

Dr. Fuad Taghievich Aleskerov is a specialist in game theory—including the mathematical and applied modeling of political processes—and control theory. He holds the degree of Doctor of Engineering Sciences and is a Professor and Distinguished Professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. He is also the Head of the M.A. Aizerman Laboratory of Choice Theory and Decision Analysis at the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences (IPU RAS). Recognized as an Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation, he is a member of the European Academy and was named an Honorary Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation in 2025.

During the lecture, Dr. Aleskerov will present innovative models for analyzing centrality in networks that incorporate vertex parameters and the collective influence of groups of vertices on individual vertices. 

The event will take place on January 27 in the KMC conference hall (Yakub Koblev Sports Palace, 9th floor). An open meeting with faculty and staff of Adyghe State University will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the lecture at 2:30 PM.
