An extended meeting of the Academic Council was convened at Adyghe  State University. Upholding a cherished tradition, the event was celebrated in a festive atmosphere and served as a significant culmination to the outgoing year 2025. The gathering brought together university leadership, faculty, and staff, along with distinguished guests—representatives from various ministries and government agencies of the Republic of Adygea.

The university’s anniversary imbued this meeting with special significance: in October 2025, Adyghe State University celebrated its 85th anniversary. This milestone provided an excellent opportunity not only to reflect on the university’s achievements but also to express gratitude to those whose dedication—through scientific accomplishments and teaching excellence—has shaped and continues to nurture the intellectual potential of both the university and the region

Opening the formal segment of the meeting, ASU Rector Daud Mamiy  emphasized that the December gathering of the Academic Council is always a meaningful occasion. It is a time when the year's professional accomplishments are celebrated alongside heartfelt appreciation for those who have dedicated decades to the advancement of education and science.

One of the most significant moments of the extended meeting was the presentation of state awards, highlighting the high regard for the contributions of Adyghe State University staff to the development of education and science in the republic.

In accordance with established tradition, special recognition was bestowed upon employees who have dedicated decades of their professional lives to the university. The medal "For Long-Term Service and Loyalty to Adyghe State University" was awarded to Grigory Leonovich Andresyants, an engineer at the Student Cultural Center, who has served at the university for over fifty years.
