On December 24–25, the Timiryazev Academy hosted a strategic session entitled “Priority 2030: A Consortium of Science and Practice for Technological Leadership in the Agro-Industrial Complex.”

The event brought together leading representatives of Russian universities, research organizations, and key businesses in the agro-industrial complex. The strategic session was attended by ASU Rector Daud Mamiy and Indar Napso, Head of the ASU Analytical Center and a researcher at the Laboratory of Mathematical Methods in Precision Agriculture and Biotechnology .

The goal of the strategic session is to identify strategic objectives and directions for achieving the country's technological sovereignty. The focus is on cooperation and the creation of project groups to address pressing issues in agricultural science.

The plenary session was opened by Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, who emphasized the key role of the Priority 2030 program as a foundation for the formation of an effective consortium between science and practice.

Following the plenary session, the session participants continued their work within specialized thematic tracks, where they discussed innovative crop cultivation methods, digitalization of agriculture, resource-saving technologies, the prospects of genomic selection, the development of microbiology and bioactive products for the agricultural sector, issues of genetics, nutrition, animal health, and improving their productivity. They also developed approaches to updating curricula to train a new generation of personnel capable of working with advanced technologies in agricultural engineering.

The results of the two-day work will form the basis for the further development of roadmaps and the implementation of priority projects within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. As a reminder, Adyghe State University is implementing the strategic technology project "Digital Breeding. Digital Assistant for Breeders" as part of the "Priority 2030" program. It aims to achieve the national goal of technological leadership in food security. The project will enable the creation of specialized digital solutions for storing, analyzing, and using plant images, forecasting, and designing highly effective crop crosses based on the association of phenomic and genomic data.
