ASU will join Yoga Day Russia for the third time — the largest yoga festival in Russia, dedicated to the International Day of Yoga. On June 21 at 10:00 in the courtyard of the main building of the university, Olga Kabayan, associate professor of the Department of Botany of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of ASU , will hold a class on hatha yoga — the teaching of psychophysical harmony achieved with the help of physical (asanas, bandhas, mudras) and mental means (meditation, concentration).
The direction in which Olga Kabayan works is Iyengar yoga. It focuses on body position (balance, posture) and strengthening muscles due to static load. The classes include exercises for hormonal balance. This is especially important during the transition period for women after 40 years.
Yoga Day at ASU is a free and comfortable way to get acquainted with the direction, try the effect on yourself in a familiar, calm, friendly environment and decide whether this method of maintaining physical and mental health is right for a person. You do not need any special preparation for the class. It is enough to take a mat and come in comfortable clothes for physical activity. After the class, those who wish can walk together to the city park of culture and recreation, where a large-scale yoga festival will be held that day, and continue to learn about the secrets of health and emotional balance.
The class is part of the events of the internal track of the university project "Adygea - Territory of Health" of the "Priority 2030" program.
