At the Adyghe State University, a second-term election for the rector position took place, and Daud Mamiy emerged victorious. A conference was organized to elect the rector on an alternative basis, attended by various stakeholders, including the head of the Republic of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, the Minister of Education and Science, Evgeny Lebedev, faculty members, students, and staff. The conference was chaired by ASU Professor Zuriet Jade.
 
Two candidates were nominated for the rector position, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation: Nadezhda Ilyinova, the director of the Department of Educational Policy at ASU, and the incumbent rector, Dauda Mamiy. Both candidates presented their development programs and addressed questions from the university's delegates and representatives of its structural divisions.

Nadezhda Ilyinova proposed integrating research in social sciences and humanities into the university's strategic goals. She highlighted the university's strong personnel potential in sociology, philology, and linguistics, as well as the consistent receipt of grants for research in these fields.

 "The presence of dissertation councils in sociology, history, and philological sciences allows the formation of ambitious scientific personnel in the social and humanitarian aspects of scientific knowledge." in addition she focused on solving the tasks necessary to achieve the target model related to the formation of sustainable partnerships, the creation of financial autonomy of the university, and also made a number of individual proposals in the field of policy implementation.

Presenting his program, Daud Mamiy spoke about the main strategic goal of the university - transformation into a scientific, educational and expert-analytical center: a leader in the region - in the field of mathematics, IT technologies, pedagogical education, making a significant contribution to increasing the competitiveness of Adygea, famous at the national level - in the field of mathematical education, genetics, biotechnology and health care, noticeable at the international level - in the field of technologies for identifying, supporting and maintaining mathematical talents, popularizing mathematics, Adyghe and Russian languages ​​and culture.
 
The key directions of the university’s transformations are correlated with the initiatives enshrined in the Strategy for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Adygea until 2030, and are aimed at developing and ensuring high efficiency of the region’s innovation ecosystem. ASU’s goal: to become by 2030 a key actor in the innovative development of the region, generating ideas and modeling practices in the field of quality of life and health engineering, mathematical education, mathematics and its applications in the field of natural, socio-economic and humanitarian knowledge, as well as a center for the formation of the intellectual elite South of Russia, promoting sustainable development of society.
 
 As per the voting outcome, out of the 119 delegates, 16 voted in favor of Nadezhda Ilyinova, whereas 99 delegates supported Daud Mamiya's candidacy. Four ballots were declared invalid. Daud Mamiya's re-election as the university rector was commended by Murat Kumpilov, the head of Adygea. He attributed this achievement to Daud Kazbekovich's professionalism, managerial skills, and the progressive approach of Adyghe State University (ASU): 
"Election as rector for a second term is a well-deserved assessment of the professionalism of Daud Kazbekovich, his managerial talent and the progressive course that Adyghe State University follows today. Today, ASU is developing dynamically. Modern work models and new technologies are being introduced; research activities have been intensified; Partnership with leading Russian universities is expanding. ASU entered the federal project “Priority 2030” and is successfully implementing it. The university should be more actively involved in the process of strategic development of the republic. This concerns participation in the development and implementation of the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the region, as well as in resolving personnel issues."
 
Under Mamiya's leadership, ASU has been experiencing dynamic growth. It has adopted modern work models and integrated new technologies into its operations, leading to an increase in research activities. Furthermore, partnerships with prominent Russian universities have expanded. ASU has joined the federal project "Priority 2030" and is successfully implementing it. Kumpilov emphasized the need for ASU to be more actively involved in the strategic development of the republic, including participation in regional strategy formulation and addressing personnel matters.
 
The newly elected rector expressed gratitude to the delegates for their trust and reiterated the work priorities set by Murat Kumpilov. He expressed confidence in achieving even greater success and prosperity for Adyghe State University. The rector also acknowledged the concerns raised by the delegates and highlighted their plans to focus more on meeting the region's needs, particularly in the educational sphere. He emphasized the university's ambitious goal of joining the territorial track of the Priority 2030 program, which would attract substantial grant funds for the university's development in line with regional requirements.
 
Daud Kazbekovich Mamiy was born in Maykop on July 15, 1965. A graduate of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov with a degree in Mathematics (1987). In 1990, he graduated from graduate school at Moscow State University with a degree in Differential Equations, where in 1991 he defended his Ph.D. thesis. Since 1991 he has been working at Adyghe State University. Daud Mamiy is a well-known organizer of a system of work with gifted children in Adygea and abroad. With his active participation, an effective system for finding and supporting talented children has been created in Adygea over the past 20 years. He became one of the founders of the Republican Natural Mathematics School (REMSH), known throughout Russia. Honored Worker of Public Education of the Republic of Adygea. Awarded the Badge of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation “For the development of research work of students”, the Ushinsky Medal of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. In 2017, Daud Mamiy was awarded the highest award of the Republic of Adygea, the medal “Glory of Adygea”.
