ASU's Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies Launches Innovative Project-Based Training Sessions

Adyghe State University has launched a series of entrepreneurial skills training sessions for first-year students at the Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies (ISD), as part of the "Priority 2030" program. These events are integrated into a project aimed at transforming educational programs in mathematics, physics, and information technology.

According to Institute Director Victoria Buchatskaya, the Institute's new educational model emphasizes providing students with opportunities to engage in various work formats, including project-based learning. Over the course of two months, and with the support of faculty mentors, students will undertake the complete work cycle—ranging from team building and idea generation to product prototyping.

"The goal of the training sessions is to build teams. When a team is in place, a project idea becomes a reality. During the two-month project process, students will be assisted by mentors—our faculty members who have completed the "Expert-Mentor: Supporting Technological Projects" professional development program , " noted Victoria Viktorovna.

The training sessions are conducted with the participation of Elena Bezglasnaya, an expert in technological entrepreneurship and a PhD candidate in economics. "My goal is to demonstrate to students that entering the field of tech entrepreneurship is quite straightforward. It follows an algorithm: step by step, we develop an idea and a vision for the final product. The students' task is to take this algorithm and apply it to real-world projects," explained Elena Alekseevna.

The students' project work will not only lead to the development of applied and research ideas but also provide opportunities to present their innovations at competitive venues. The most outstanding projects will be recommended for participation in competitions organized by the Tech Entrepreneurship Platform, the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises, and the university's student research teams competition within the Priority 2030 program.

"We are creating a trajectory of opportunities for students—a pathway from idea to project implementation and access to external funding. We see this as the university's mission," concluded Victoria Buchatskaya.
