Successful Launch of the 'I Am a Speaker' Intensive Training at Adyghe State University
From February 13th to 15th, the intensive training course "I Am a Speaker" was held at Adyghe State University. The event brought together 50 students from ASU and Moscow State University.
The project was led by Ksenia Chebakova, a student at the Institute of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies (ISD) research and education cluster. Ksenia won the All-Russian Rosmolodezh Grants for Individuals youth project competition and received 248,670 rubles to implement her initiative.
"The university offers a robust professional foundation, which the 'I Am a Speaker' project seamlessly complements by developing public speaking and mentoring skills. This integrated approach enriches students' preparation, empowering them to become not only qualified specialists but also confident leaders capable of influencing public opinion," Ksenia explained.
The intensive training was organized by the team from the ASU Students and Graduate Students' Union, whose activities are dedicated to supporting young people and addressing the pressing issues faced by students. Pavel Doroshenko, a federal trainer with the RSM Coaches Association, served as the speaker for one of the sessions. He discussed the fundamentals of public speaking, including its structure, logic, and the crucial role of confidence.
"Slight nervousness is always present—especially when what you do is precious and valuable. The key is not to let it control you when speaking in front of an audience. Everything can be learned: speaking becomes easier with experience. Give yourself time to adapt," advised the experienced coach.
As a reminder, the goal of the "I Am a Speaker" project was to cultivate young leaders who will one day occupy influential roles in education, business, politics, and beyond. This long-term initiative aims to create opportunities for youth development not only within our region but also extending far beyond.
