ASU Team Advances to the Super League of the National Student Football League
The Adyghe State University team won the final fourth tournament of Group B in the 2025 Transitional Division of the National Student Football League, part of the All-Russian Student Football Competition "With Russia Forever!" and secured a spot in the Igor Gamula NSFL Super League.
The competition was supported by the Russian Ministry of Sport and the Russian Student Sports Union. It took place from October 13th to 15th at the Arena-Crimea stadium in Yevpatoriya. Teams from Adyghe State University (Maikop), Yasinovataya Multidisciplinary Technical School (Yasinovataya, DPR), Admiral F.F. Ushakov State Maritime University (Novorossiysk), and a second team from V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University (Simferopol) competed for first through fourth place in Group B.
The ASU team confidently took first place early on the second day of competition, defeating KFU-2 and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous University. However, the Adygea students also gave their all in the third, decisive game and emerged victorious, earning 9 points out of a possible 9.
-Four players from the ASU team were among the top performers in the goal-plus-assist system: Sergei Belozertsev (0+2), Nart Zhachemukov (1+1), Danil Zholobov (2+0), and Vyacheslav Ru (2+0),-according to a statement from the NSFL press service.
The team is coached by Ramazan Shumakhov and Anzor Gonezhuk. They are especially grateful to the fans, whose support was indispensable throughout the tournament, as well as to team director Ruslan Akhtaov for his ongoing support and care for the players.
