A Milestone Year of Interdisciplinary Training, Adventure, and Team Spirit at The Institute of Physical Culture and Judo

For the first time this year, not only university faculty but also graduates and postgraduates of the Institute of Physical Culture and Judo participated in the training camp.

The training camp (internship) was conducted in two stages. The first stage lasted nine days in Maykop, during which students improved their skills in disciplines such as swimming, track and field, sports and active games, and wrestling. The second stage took place the following week at ASU's "Gornaya Legenda" training and production facility. There, students had the opportunity to spend time outdoors, get to know each other better, and try their hand at orienteering, hiking, and rafting.

Rafting at the camp develops a variety of skills related to physical fitness, technical ability, teamwork, and psychological preparedness. The goal is to prepare participants for whitewater rafting on inflatable rafts and to foster teamwork. Rafting was introduced into the camp program last year, but it has already become a favorite among many students. During the training camp, students learned rafting techniques and had the opportunity to try their hand at competitive rafting. The Labuba team secured first place, followed by the Chanda team in second, the Mountain Legends team in third, and the Rusalochki team in fourth.

As a reminder, traditional training camps resumed in 2022. They focus on developing students' physical skills to ensure a proper level of fitness, fostering a lasting interest in their profession, promoting a creative approach to sports, and emphasizing the importance of professional self-education and self-improvement.

Winter training camps are also scheduled to resume, providing students with the opportunity to practice alpine skiing. This experience will be valuable in relation to the plans to develop the Lagonaki ski resort in the Republic of Adygea.
