Celebrating the 85th Anniversary of Adyghe State University with a Memorable Race
The event was timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of Adyghe State University. Aslan Kanukoev, Director of the Department of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Daud Mamiy, Rector of ASU, welcomed the participants, who then launched the race.
Over 300 people took part in the race, including students and faculty from various ASU departments and faculties. The route stretched from the Ferris Wheel through the picturesque alley of City Park and across the grounds of the Republican Stadium.
The winner among women was Victoria Gordeeva, a fourth-year student at the Institute of Physical Education and Judo. Second place went to Valeria Moiseeva, a second-year student at the Faculty of Social Technologies and Tourism. Third place was awarded to Olga Yelnikova, a lecturer in the ASU Department of Physical Education.
Among the men, first place was won by Maxim Afanasyev, a first-year master's student at the Institute of Physical Education and Judo. Second place went to Matvey Agasyan, a second-year student at the same institute, and third place was claimed by Nikita Nemykin, a third-year student at the Faculty of Economics.
The winners and finalists received commemorative T-shirts and prizes.
