From December 1st to 4th, Adyghe State University will host the annual popular science lecture series, ASU Economicon – 2025. Organized by the ASU Caucasus Mathematical Center since 2019, this event has established itself as a distinguished platform for interdisciplinary discussions on socioeconomic processes and the latest research in the field of mathematical economics.

The seventh edition of the lecture series will showcase eminent experts from renowned research centers and leading universities nationwide. Distinguished scientists from the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg State University, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Far Eastern Federal University, Adygea State University, and other prominent research institutions will deliver insightful presentations.

"This is an annual gathering of economists and all those interested in the field of economics. We bring together leading experts from across Russia—it's the country's premier event dedicated to theoretical economics, taking place in Maykop," stated the event's moderator, Alexey Savvateev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Head of the ASU CMC, and Professor at both ASU and MIPT.

The lecture series will comprise approximately twenty presentations. Experts will explore mathematical models of social interactions, planning methodologies, data analysis applications, and game-theoretic approaches to economics. Participants will also engage in discussions on effective techniques for compressing large language models, game-theoretic models of opinion dynamics within social networks, unresolved challenges in artificial intelligence, and strategies for advancing educational development.

The lecture program features a series of accessible talks on economics aimed at a general audience. As part of Mathematics Week, held at ASU from December 1st to 5th, participants of the ASU Economics will deliver popular science lectures to students and schoolchildren.
